Arrest Records in Logan County
The Logan County Sheriff's Office makes arrests in county areas and keeps its own incident reports. Sterling Police keeps reports for events handled by city officers. Colorado State Patrol remains custodian of its reports. When custody is required, Logan County Jail creates the booking record. The prosecutor and clerk later create the filed case and disposition.
This split matters. A sheriff report can describe an alleged event, while the jail entry gives intake facts. The court file shows which charges were filed and how they ended. CBI's statewide history adds fingerprint-supported arrest cycles and reported dispositions, but it does not hold each local narrative.

Logan County Arrest Lookups
No official searchable jail roster is published. A complete search therefore uses phone, request, court, and state channels instead of relying on one database.

The sheriff form asks for incident date, report number, location, incident type, searched name, sex, DOB, requester contacts, delivery choice, signature, fee acceptance, and photo ID. More detail helps staff separate people with similar names. Cash, money order, and credit cards are accepted, but personal checks are not.
Sterling Arrests Reach Logan County
Sterling Police creates the city incident report, but a person held after a city arrest enters Logan County Jail. A five-year city-county jail-services agreement took effect July 1, 2025. Start with Sterling Police for its narrative, call jail option 2 for custody, and use Combined Courts for a state-filed case. Municipal citations remain with Sterling Municipal Court.
Sterling's updated process uses an online request form. Most requests take about three days after approval. Active investigations may be withheld, and most juvenile records are not released. Emailed or mailed requests need readable photo ID. Case reports cost $15 plus $0.25 per page. A listed victim receives the initial report at no charge.

Arrest Records: What They Contain
A booking record captures intake facts available at that stage. It does not contain the whole investigation or the final court result. Field availability depends on what can lawfully be released.

Fingerprints link an arrest cycle to CBI. If fingerprints do not support the event, ICHC says the arrest will not appear in its public result. A later CDOC fingerprint entry is not a new charge.
Regional Jail, Not Always Logan County
Logan County Jail is a regional facility. April 2025 commissioner minutes describe 120 beds and an average daily count of 35 to 40 people. Only 15 to 20 were attributed to Logan County. Many others came from Sedgwick, Phillips, and Yuma Counties. Ninety-six beds are in housing pods, with the rest in booking.
A booking in Sterling therefore does not establish that the court case belongs to Logan County. Check the arresting agency, charge county, and case number before ordering a court file. This is one of the most important limits on a local custody search.
Recent Logan County Bookings
The official county site does not expose a searchable public roster or arrest gallery. For current custody, call the jail. A records request may seek releasable booking material. Sterling's official crime blotter and police report archive can add city context, but neither replaces an incident report or jail record.
Current custody is only a snapshot. A released person may no longer be in the jail channel, and an outside-county detainee may appear at the Logan facility. An empty custody check cannot answer a long-term arrest-history question. It also says nothing about a sealed or withheld record.

For self-review with stronger identity matching, CBI also offers a fingerprint-based public-record route through Colorado Applicant Background Services. The stated CBI charge is $16.50, plus vendor capture charges. IdentoGO and Colorado Fingerprinting are the approved vendors.
Restricted Logan County Arrest Reports
Colorado's CCJRA makes records of official action open, including arrest and disposition facts. Other criminal-justice records may be released at the custodian's discretion. Active investigation details, sensitive evidence, juvenile information, and victim identifiers can be withheld or redacted.
The Logan Sheriff form adds safeguards for juvenile and sexual-assault records. A parent, guardian, responsible adult, or designee must document the relevant status. Sexual-assault victim identifiers are ordinarily removed before public release unless the victim uses the form's process concerning their own data. Requesters also affirm that released criminal-justice information will not be used for direct business solicitation for pecuniary gain.
Logan County Jail Custody Details
The detention center uses all-video visits. Funds can be deposited through the lobby kiosk or JailATM, and the jail does not accept inmate money orders. Its official page provides remote bond payment and lists a $30 booking fee. These custody services are not proof of a filed charge or conviction.
Daily weekday advisement and bond hearings for people held on Logan cases occur at 2:15 p.m. Court livestreams can show timing, but the written order controls the terms. Verify the amount, bond type, and eligibility in the case. Emergency messages may be relayed through the jail, but staff do not take routine messages for people held there.

Follow the identifiers across that path. The agency report number, jail booking number, and court case number are different keys, so retain each one. Compare the arrest date with the filing date and read every count separately. A prosecutor can decline one allegation, amend another, or file no case at all. Later sealing may also remove an eligible event from ordinary public results without erasing every authorized agency copy.
